The new “About me”ssection is set up and can now be edited by Yasmin Hofer.

Yasi picked up the guitar at age 12 and immediately discovered guitar legend Steve Vai to be her idol. Instead of living a usual teenager life she decided to practice as hard as possible to achieve the technique and musicianship necessary to perform the music of her master. Soon Mr. Vai became aware of the young talent and offered Yasi to share the stage with him when she was 14! After this memorable event she formed her own band and began to play live shows , started composing and recorded a CD called „YASI – Sounds Like Vai“. Soon she had remarkable success on youtube with her uploaded videos performing Vai’s and her own compositions.
Future plans are an album with own instrumental music and to play as many gigs as possible.”

“2005 - that’s when Yasi first touched a guitar and it was pure passion from the very first moment. The hard work and hours of practising soon payed off.
On July 3rd 2007 she performed with guitar legend Steve Vai at the Ulmer Zelt Festival in Germany - invited by the Master himself!!!
This outstanding beginning of Yasi’s career was followed by other big gigs such as the support for Chris Thompson and a CD called “Yasi sounds like Vai” that was released in 2008 on the label „Heckmannsounds“.
Currently Yasi is dividing her time between gigs, writing new music and the study of music to get prepared for a future as a musician.“
