Immediatly after the gig with Steve Vai in Summer 2007 I got the opportunity to make a CD. So I started to write own music and to record demos. Together with my producer I sat down and worked out my ideas to what is now on „Yasi sounds like Vai“. I had a lot of fun writing and working with Protools and I learned so many things about writing and recording.
Short description to every track:
Tender Storms:
The first thing I had in my head when starting to think about the CD was the melody of Tender Storms. I’m glad Steve likes this melody…
ILY:
I wrote this song for my dog Wendy – the best dog in the universe!!!
Violence prevails:
I always recorded ideas and riffs I came along while practising right back from the first months I was playing. For this song I didn’t have any ideas what to put on top of the rhythm. So I went through my videos and found this riff that fit the song perfectly.
For the other parts I just wanted to have some fun with the things I had just learned back then.
Answers:
I wanted to put this song onto the CD in memory to the moment I got the news from Steve Vai that I could come up on stage and play the Song Answers with him. It was 4 weeks before the gig and I didn’t have any transcriptions of that song.
ILY Latin Version:
When I had the first demoversion of the song ILY it sounded very Santana influenced and had a latin feel to it. It was not what I really wanted that song to be so I redid it, but my Dad just loved this Latin version so I had to put it on the CD 
(This one is for you Dad!)
Now enough of this talking and writing. You probably wanna listen to the songs of “Yasi sounds like Vai”. Once again it was or is my first album. So there is always room for improvement. “Yasi sounds like Vai” was produced with the support and help of Elmar Heckmann and his label Heckmann Sounds.
I would by it… but hell, i spent all my dimes on guitars and amps ’cause i can’t afford good ones, i have to collect money)))
I already put my eye on ibanez ags model… yummi!

ich hab gerade deine Videos auf Youtube gesehen. Das ist echt extrem respektabel das du das alles innerhalb von 2 Jahren drauf hast. Wahnsinn! Ich will nicht wissen wieviele Stunden du da am Tag mit üben verbracht hast. Ich wünsch dir alles gute und hoffe das man dann demnächst mal deine Konzerte besuchen kann! wow, I’m really impressed, i love rock, metal, and of course the virtuosism of great guitar Gods like Vai, and Satriani…when looking up in utube…checking a friends tutorial, ran into the cover u play “For the Love of God”..very clean execution I believe….You really sound promising…wish you success….maybe one day see you in a G3….that’d be cool..also wie kann ich deine CD kaufen??? Habe ich drei demos hier gehört, die mir gut gefallen hatten….The version auf Spanisch ist grossartig!!!
